Contact us today to try out the Sam PuttLab - The Ultimate Putting Training System

How does SAM PuttLab work?
Then putting smallest movements can decide everything. SAM PuttLab uses state of the art ultrasound technology and specific mathematic algorithms for precise measurement of the relevant putting parameters. SAM Puttlab comprises the SAM MotionAnalyzer (Hardware) and the SAM PuttWare (Software).

For the measurement a light sensor triplet is attached to the club shaft. The measurement device (MotionAnalyzer) then transfers the registered movement data to a computer via USB.

The intelligent SAM PuttWare automatically evaluates the putting strokes, calculates all relevant parameters - e.g. rotation, acceleration, swing duration or impact - and graphically displays the results. The data reveal precise information on how to improve your game, e.g club face angle or sweetspot, and how to tailor individual training strategies.

Benefits of SAM PuttLab:
• Easy to use technology, set up and application.
• Automatic measurements and analysis.
• Clear graphical display and setting.
• Evaluation of putt technique and consistency

Our Specialty is Professional Tour Development

A Simple yet scientific golf Instruction Program
The Medicus Player Development Program is a simple yet scientific golf instruction program that educates juniors on swing mechanics and defining a swing pattern for accomplishing lifelong swing success. The program encompasses on course training and management, equipment fitting, and mental coaching.

The Game Plan is Emphasized
The key ingredient that we provide is a "Game Plan" for success. In doing so we empower the player to absorb, apply and even correct themselves when things may go awry. This is precisely what all our players have, and are receiving, on a daily basis through our Player Development Program. These students range from junior to mini tour players.

We use Hands on Approach
The "hands on" approach of the Medicus Development Program allows us to become a true advocate for the player. It is an all around "TEAM" effort from families to coaches to Q-Golf Players receive continuous monitoring The Players are monitored via email, as well as text messaging and phone conversations regarding any issues the player may see on a daily basis but also during tournament play. Parents are instructed to keep us informed and updated to scores and how the player is performing on course. Players' post tournaments are debriefed, assisting all parties of a plan of action for the continual improvement and success of the player. Players will receive exclusive access to video files for ongoing education and further learning through Q-Golf Forum.

It requires total commitment
The key for all players, from a coach stand point, is total commitment to the "plan" without hesitation. A dedication to succeed creates open communication lines where the player is always questioning, monitoring and following up to assure clarity and staying to plan. Players then become educated regarding their swings that even from a far we can talk through any scenario leading the player to corrective solutions with ease. Players golf swings are filmed and online lessons are provided by Director of Instruction Quintin van der Berg. Our goal, for those who desire, is to likewise increase the players visibility with college coaches across the USA so that they may be placed on the radar for potential college golf.

Raise the level of competition in the sport
Medicus continues to "dominate" the world of golf in its efforts to raise the level of competition in the game of golf. We look to educate, train, and provide products that completely meet the needs of a player’s improvement.

Teaching Philosophy

After qualifying as a full member of the PGA of South Africa and spending the last 10 years abroad working alongside European Tour Coach Scott Cranfield and being Director of Instruction at Europe's flagship David Leadbetter Academy has inspired Quintin to examine what it takes to make it onto the PGA Tour. What prevailed was the microscopic study of the golf swing, golf’s biomechanics and the game itself. Continual research and discovery produced dramatic results in pupil's performance. Quintin's resume and communication skills started drawing attention to Q-Golf. Golfer’s sought the expertise Quintin could offer to improve their golf game. A PGA Member and GSEB Authorized Instructor of The Golfing Machine, Quintin continues to work with golfers of all levels. Whether, a beginner or touring professional, adding precision is the key to a golfers long term improvement.

The interest in Q-Golf is growing rapidly with students travelling from abroad to take instruction. Building better golfer’s verses perfect golf swings is the only way to long term improvement. The playing experience and knowledge Quintin offers is unique to Q- Golf. He feels there are no bad students, just bad teachers. One golfer at a time, Q- Golf will build a game suited to each individual student and long term enjoyment of the game.

Golf is a game of scoring; teaching students to produce lower scores is the ultimate goal. Good impact alignments are necessary to play consistent golf. To teach students that mechanics produce, and feel reproduces. Fundamentals are essential and will be the foundation of every lesson. Until students can produce an uncompensated stroke with a basic motion, a full swing will only add frustration. The next lesson begins where the last lesson finished. Students will learn to think of a golf swing as a series of alignments verses positions. Instruction will utilize video cameras, computer software and other teaching aids to convey information.

Train your brain! Find out what focus FEELS like.
Find the switch between conscious and non-conscious.

Quintin van der Berg, is proud to introduce the recently developed Focus Band™. Focus Band is ground breaking technology for focus training. Since the game of golf began instruction has followed. Instructors have talked about focus, intensity and being in the 'zone.' All of this has been verbal, conceptual and passive instruction at best. Now in generally less than five minutes student-athletes can experience what focus actually feels like. After just 15 minutes of simple exercises the putter is introduced. Once the process of putting routine is observed the coach and student can remedy breaks in focus along the way. The Focus Band can then be used to the same game changing benefit in full swing analysis as well. Due to the wireless interface of the equipment coaches can observe their students in actual playing situations. Focus Band will be the game changing technology for the future.

When you think about the left brain ability to command up to 40 instructions per second it sounds like a fine way to control your golf swing.

That is until you understand that your right brain has the ability to handle up to 11 million instructions per second!

With FocusBand you can learn to shift from left brain to right brain and you will be amazed at the ability to narrow your target and quiet your conscious mind.

The Focus Band™ contains three sensors that wirelessly transmit the brain activity data back to a PC for analysis. The Focus Band™ shows a golfer how to improve their:
1. Focus of Attention
2. Anxiety
3. Muscle tension
4. Shift from left brain conscious thought to right brain subconscious.

The Focus Band™ uses Audio and Visual Bio-feedback as well as video to train the golfer to focus in on a target or a feeling.

Instructors have long sought a method of instruction to teach students the benefit of higher levels of focus. Until now such equipment was either beyond the financial reach of most or was cumbersome to use in motion intensive activity such as golf.

Now the wireless interface between device and computer opens the door to high performance training for serious golfers and golf professionals.

Focus Meter: Indicates whether the user is in Focus or out of Focus. The threshold can be adjusted for each user to accommodate the different levels of attentional focus

Anxiety Meter : Indicates the users Anxiety levels. The audio alarm threshold can be adjusted for each user, to accommodate the different skill levels

Muscle Tension Meter : Indicated the level of muscle tension. The audio alarm threshold can be adjusted for each user, to accommodate the different tension levels

Eye Blink Meter :Indicates whether the user is blinking excessively. The audio alarm threshold is adjusted for each users blinking habits

5 in 1 Trend Meter : The Trend displays all measured elements in real-time, so visual comparisons & trends can be observed. This graph is showing muscle tension (solid brown) Focus (green line) and Anxiety (red line) Mushin (blue line)

Brain Activity :This is a reference signal to ensure valid data is being read by the sensors. The signal should be visible within the window at all times, indicating valid data

Brain intensity meter: This spectrogram indicates the user’s level of brain activity at each frequency. The brighter the color the higher the activity
